In re:shape's world, biomodification is not simply casual, but a given. Every human has been modified since birth, their bodies augmented with designer implants that allow them to remain in (mostly) perfect health throughout their entire lives while also maintaining near-seamless brain to machine interfacing.

Unfortunately, this can also leave them open to (bio)attack, often resulting in outcomes far worse than death.

A meat flower is a case of an extreme bio mod attack, caused by a hostile AI that has hijacked a subject's implants, horribly twisting their body in the process.

The worst part is this horror serves no purpose... except to prove a point.
